BIOGRAPHY
Rabbits are commonly used in biomedical research for many years due to its ease of use and phylogenetical similarities with humans. They are commonly used in cardiovascular research (atherosclerosis), antibody production, physiology, and toxicity studies. This presentation includes some aspects of the biology and care of the rabbits in the research laboratory. Briefly, it will be discussed some common diseases and research uses of the rabbit.
