BIOGRAPHY
Influenza infections are initiated by just a handful of virions infecting a handful of cells, so it is important to understand what happens in single infected cells. I will describe work that characterizes how the mutations in individual virions affect the outcome of infection in single cells.
Learning Objectives:
1. Explain what is measured during single cell transcriptomic experiments
2. Explain how mutations affect innate immune recognition of influenza infection
