The global incidence of tick-borne diseases has increased substantially over the last few decades. This is largely due to environmental climate change, the expansion of new tick populations, as well as several other factors occurring both naturally and through human intervention. Tick-borne diseases are a significant public health concern, posing challenges both diagnostically and regarding national surveillance. In this webinar, we will review the epidemiology, clinical presentation, available diagnostics, and treatment guidelines for North American tick-borne diseases.
Learning Objectives
- Explain the pathogenesis, clinical presentation, and treatment guidelines of common and emerging tick-borne pathogens.
- Describe the epidemiology and geographic distribution of major tick-borne diseases in North America, including recent trends and emerging threats.
- Discuss diagnostic challenges and emerging technologies for identifying tick-borne diseases.
Webinars will be available for unlimited on-demand viewing after live event.
