Abstract
The analysis of protein characteristics and interactions is central in drug research. In this web seminar, we will show you how the reliability and robustness of  protein characterization can be improved by the automation of protein purification and the downstream thermal analysis. 
 
For sample purification, automated systems are ideally suited for small to medium volumes, offering high throughput and accurate results, thus avoiding the risks of time-consuming and error-prone manual procedures. We will show you how flexible liquid handling systems support the efficient extraction and buffer exchange of a variety of protein types and enable reproducible sample preparation for downstream analysis.
 
For thermal profiling of proteins, we will explore affordable high-throughput tools, including techniques for assessing stability and interactions. A particular focus will be on the use of qPCR systems for thermal shift assays working with minimal sample input and providing valuable insights into conformational changes and binding events. With high throughput, low reagent consumption and ease of use, qPCR is an alternative to methods such as scanning fluorimetry or nanoDSF.
