Gene expression studies give a snapshot of the different types of RNAs being expressed at a given time point in cells or tissues in vivo. Different RNA types have different roles, for example in protein synthesis (e.g. messenger RNA) or regulation (e.g. microRNA). The accurate quantification of RNAs is key to reliably identifying gene expression profiles and differences between samples. For such complex experiments every step is important. This webinar will guide you through the different steps of gene expression workflows using qPCR, give you a refresher on the technologies behind these workflows, and address how to overcome some common challenges.
Part 1 focuses on sample purification, including collection, isolation and quality control steps.
Part 2 focuses on qPCR assay and analysis, including setup, detection and analysis and interpretation steps.
