The Minimum Information for Publication of Quantitative Real-Time PCR Experiments (MIQE) guidelines were first introduced in 2009 to standardize the design, execution, and transparent reporting of research that used quantitative PCR (qPCR). In 2025, these guidelines were comprehensively updated and republished as MIQE 2.0, reflecting the advances in qPCR technologies and applications feedback on the original text.
This webinar will provide attendees with a practical overview of MIQE 2.0, highlighting considerations for generating accurate, reproducible data to enable experimental findings to deliver greater impact. Topics will include rigorous documentation of sample handling, nucleic acid extraction, and assay validation, methods for calculating assay efficiency, and the critical role of instrument calibration. All content is presented in an accessible format for immediate use and future reference.
Designed for both newcomers to qPCR and experienced researchers, this session emphasizes real-world application and appropriate considerations rather than rigid dictates (mandates), ensuring methodological stringency without unnecessary burden.
